Making the ordinary days beautiful through thrifting.
Hello, I’m Olivia! A wife and mama who is passionate about creating a beautiful home through thrifting!
Thrifting is part of my weekly, sometimes even daily, routine. Most items in our little home are from local thrift stores, or purchased second hand from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. Almost everything was found thrifting, including the largest pieces of furniture, like our couch and the smallest coaster on our coffee table.
How I began thrifting
My lovely mama introduced me to the world of thrift stores, resale shops and antiques. And my dad has been a committed Craigslist user from the beginning of online secondhand listings. They both have taught me how to make a home meaningful and beautiful through a thrifty lifestyle. I’m so thankful for their example and expertise in finding a good deal.
Thrifting allows me to create a meaningful home without spending a pretty penny, which is so easy to do these days. Even at more budget friendly stores like Target or HomeGoods – decor can add up quickly!
Lastly, you may be wondering about the name of the blog. Ordinaire is French for ordinary. Basically, it’s just a more beautiful way to say ordinary – and that is the purpose of this blog – to create a more beautiful life in the ordinary.
